I was reviewing some net.motss articles while showing off the newsgroup to a friend. Imagine my horror when I realized how much of my recent submission to net.motss has your first name completely wrong as Sarah rather than Sophie! In my defense I will say that I had read the various motss articles days before I wrote my article, and in the time of composing what I wanted to write, I got your name memorized incorrectly. So well did I perform this feat of mis-memorization, that I almost feel like the machine got the name wrong, and that I have it right. Well, the damage has been done. I have done a perfect job of presenting myself as someone who does not even take the time to get people's names right. It is the fear of making mistakes like this that has, in the past, caused me to attribute quotations to "someone" rather than to a specific name that I might get wrong. Until I write, or find a program that will enable me to verify articles while I compose, I will go back to saying "someone". My attempt at adding a personal touch failed due to lack of care. Sigh. Oh well... Bill Cattey
