Does anyone out there know FOR SURE (or even not for sure) how the people who grant security clearances currently feel about gays? I mean, if you're openly gay, will they grant you a clearance? ("Openly gay" means that anyone who knows how many siblings you have knows you're gay. This excludes elderly relatives for whom there is rarely a convenient excuse to tell.") If you're closeted will they grant you a clearance? Will they ever revoke one's clearance if they find out one is gay (obviously, one can't be TOO closeted if they're able to find out). Also, is what the security-clearance-granting people say different from what they do? Anecdotes are welcome. Post to net.motss if possible OR post to me and I'll resubmit it after stripping off, uh, identifying marks. Or if you don't want it anonymously forwarded, indicate that it is just personal mail. Oh, if it makes any difference, I am (so far) gay. "Now, We're Never Alone" Another Message In The Bottle from Robert DeBenedictis decvax!yale-comix!debenedi REMEMBER: Post early and post often!
