Here's another recommendation for the movie 'Hotel New Hampshire'. I haven't seen it yet but I have just finished the book. It is wonderful! It goes into just about everything that life has to offer. Nobody (at least in the family) has any moral rantings about anything. Life just is and you have to learn to except any and everything that comes along. This is my first submission to net.motss but I hope to make some more. It is true that this newsgroup has gotten a bit stale lately (stale? how about dead!). Let's work on getting lively and stimulating discussions flowing again. Sam

I found Irving's "TWAG" rather distastefully cruel to its characters. He seems to be a merchant of arbitrariness which the public then laps up as being much like "real life." So, I shunned "The Hotel New Hampshire." Oh, well. Anyway, nice to see the group stirring from its winter somnolence. Spring and summer should offer more to talk about (as well as look at.) /Steve -- /Steve Dyer decvax!bbncca!sdyer sdyer@bbncca
