[] I agree with Robert in that this newsgroup has be too quiet lately. I am not a very good writer (just an engineer), but I thought I would say something about BENT. I saw this play March 25, 1983 at the Longstreet Theater at the University of South Carolina. (Ask me how I know the exact date) Well anyway, the play was presented by the Drama Department of USC and was done very professionally. The leading character was played by my next door neighbor who also directed the play. Not since Torch Song Trilogy has a play put such a lump in my throat. Even though the play had gay characters, I thought that its theme could be applied universally. After all, gays were not the only persecuted minorities in Hitler's days. Also, it doesn't take a gay theme to show how powerful love can be between two individuals. However, I *REALLY* did like the play, and would highly recommend it to anyone (even my mother). Speaking of Torch Song Trilogy, has anyone seen it? I was fortunate enough to see the play in San Fransico last Fall. The set was lavishly done and the performance outstanding. I was looking forward to seeing the play in New York, but Harvey is no longer in the performance. {How's that for drivel?} Let's see some action in this newsgroup!!!!!!
