[net.motss] appalling flame

	>Many gays have varying degrees of hatred towards the opposite sex.
	>I have an appalling thought for you. Have you considered the fact that
	>your homosexuality has its roots in a subconscious desire to be a
	>member of the opposite sex?

At least teldata!ted characterizes his invective as appalling. Indeed!
What is it about the subject of homosexuality which causes (presumably)
reasonable people to make bald statements which are silly and totally
devoid of thought?

I've got a suggestion--why don't you save this crap for the Phil Donahue
show and keep it out of net.motss? Yup, this is a "shut-up" ploy.
I've endured wading through the last month of submissions of this ilk,
and they are collectively an embarassment to heterosexuality.
The level of discussion here has gone down drastically since then
and invariably those engendering such questions are truly not interested
in any serious answers from the gay community or its sympathizers.
Rather, they prefer to cloak their attacks in the more socially acceptible
form of a question, and defer any followup discussions.

To my fellow serious readers and contributors, I suggest that we ignore
such trash in the future. There's much more worth discussing.
