What do people think of Immigration and Naturalization Service's decision to deport Australian citizen Tony Sullivan on the grounds that he is gay, despite the fact the he has been lovers with an American in California since April 1972 (12 years!!!)??? Tony Sullivan and Richard Adams were *legally* married in Boulder, CO in 1974. The INS informed them that, "You have failed to establish that a bona-fide marital relationship can exist between faggots." They reissued the statement without the word "faggots" after considerable protest activities. The Supreme Court refused to hear the case of Richard Longstaff, a gay man who emigrated from Britain 19 years ago. Texas Federal Court ruled that Longstaff, who is a Dallas businessman, could not become a citizen of the US and could not remain in the country because, although he is of "good moral character," he has a "psychopathic personality" as a result of his homosexuality.
