[net.motss] The word GAY and a note on Olympic men

peduto@pyuxv.UUCP (S A Peduto) (08/10/84)

What I was trying to say, dispite my mistake in posting an empty
article, was that the word GAY for homosexual dates from the
19th century; cf. Farmer and Henly, A dictionary of SLang and its
Analogues.

As for the Olympics, my favorite so far has been Mike Tully, the
pole vaulter who got a silver a few days ago. He had a quiet determination
as well as a great, lanky, tall body. He's also red headed, and I love that.

In general, I prefer fun postings to dealing with all that idiotic
homophobia.
