[net.motss] followup on Guyon/NAMBLA discussion

Ken,

I was not familiar with the Rene Guyon Society before
your posting. But it sounds like a hermaphroditic NAMBLA to me.
I don't support NAMBLA (child molestation is WRONG, regardless of
who's doing it to whom), and I don't support the position taken
by the Society in your posting. However, this is not just a
homosexual issue -- as your posting states, heterosexual
relations with children are also covered.

I am sure you do not believe that being heterosexual
means you support the idea of sexual relations with children. (I
don't.) But then neither do I, as a homosexual male, support the
idea of sexual relations with children. How one decides where
the boundary between 'child' and 'adult' for purposes of sexual
relations is a worthwile topic for discussion (I would tend to
support 16, and definitely agree on 18). As the oldest child in
a large family (seven younger brothers/sisters), this topic hits
home.

As to "what should we (homosexuals who disagree with the
positions of the Rene Guyon Society and NAMBLA) do about them", I
propose the following:

Those who believe in the idea of sexual relations with
underage children should be garrotted slowly (preferably with
piano wire) and hung from the proverbial 'highest steeples'.
(What to hang them BY could create a lively discussion, no?)
Those who believe that these groups reflect the views of
homosexuals as a group should, of course, undergo the same
treatment.
