When you sign up with them, you are to stop right off the bat and not start again. If you do, they'll kidnap your spouse and cut off a finger. If you cheat again, maybe they'll do something to one of your kids. It was started up, if I remember correctly, by the son of a mob leader that died of lung cancer. And they have spies everywhere... --- jayembee (Jerry Boyajian, DEC Maynard, MA) UUCP: {decvax|ihnp4|allegra|ucbvax|...}!decwrl!dec-rhea!dec-akov68!boyajian ARPA: boyajian%akov68.DEC@DECWRL.ARPA

When the urge to smoke gets unbearable, try getting some exercise--if you can, go jogging or take a long, fast walk. If you can't get up from what you're doing, try isometrics. Avoid any place where there are smokers, especially bars. When I quit about 15 years ago, the first month or so was an ordeal; after that, the craving subsides, but you are very susceptible to relapse within the first year, and you will likely always have a subtle, lingering desire for tobacco for a long time; it's a tough addiction to fight, but it's a battle you can't afford to lose.
