As someone who had smoked for many years I honestly thought I could not stop. My doctor said I'd better "Only if you want to keep breathing" so to make a long story short. He gave me a prescription for a gum called NICORETTE. I stopped smoking about three days after I started to chew this stuff. About the product itself, it's not very good tasting but neither is smoke. For me it has worked very well. I no longer inhale carbon monoxide and other gunk into my lungs so the benefits are both obvious and immediate. Other nice comments have come from the lady I live with. Our place is a lot better smelling, she no longer has to suffer with the cloud that usually prevailed in the living room and in the car. It took about two boxes of gum before I completely weaned myself from it. I believe the gum contains 2 mg of a nicotine derivative, for me that was enough to quell the urge. At first I was going through 12 pieces a day but soon that went way down. At three pieces a day for about a week I just stopped. For anyone who cares, I smoked for 26 years. I wont bother to bore you with minor details like the extra pocket money I have now and how good life seems to be w/o the fear of running out butts at the wrong time, not to mention running out of breath. For me, it worked, maybe it can work for you too. It cant hurt to give it try. The comments above are mine and do not reflect on Digital or any other shiny surface.
