The best article *by far* in the list I posted is: Orbach, William, "Homosexuality and Jewish law," Journal of family law, vol. 14, no. 3, pp. 353-381, 1975-76. which surveys the attitudes in traditional Judaism, from early biblical times, though Mishnaic and Talmudic eras, down to our times (incl. recent responsa, laws in Israel etc...). It is the first well-informed (and, incidentally, ``non-judgemental'') text I see on the subject (Boswell notwithstanding). My only disagreement is with his conclusions (prospects for change) but then they do not detract in any way from the very valuable other parts.
