Brian--If I were you, I would close my account with that credit union **PRONTO**. Else, you are likely to continue losing money. IF you still feel like doing business with them, open another account later. The key to handling bureaucratic screw-ups is to pester them repeatedly and frequently over the phone; don't just send letters--they're too easy to ignore. Also, be sure to get the name of every credit union person you talk to, the date and time, and a summary of the conversation; as a background procedure, of course, written correspondence should be undertaken, being careful to keep copies of all correspondence; critical items should be sent certified or registered mail to prove that they got it. Armed with enough documentation, you should be able to win some sort of damages from them and/or the insurance company. At any rate, CLOSE THAT ACCOUNT TODAY!! --Rich Ganns ihnp4!hou2a!hound!ganns
