There's been some talk lately about whether or not gay relationships can or do last as long as straight relationships. A year or two ago I remember reading an article on this in Psychology Today. (Please note: PT is not my idea of a scientific journal.) Their data stated that the average heterosexual relationship lasted 7 to 10 years. The average lesbian relationship lasted longer; the average gay male relationship lasted less. They concluded that women are the cohesive force in relationships. Robert DeBenedictis
