I think that all this disscussion about what CAUSES us to be the way we
are is just so much noise!!!
Perhaps its better to just accept the fact that some of us (ie humanity)
are bold enough to get beyond cultural conditioning and act on our inner
urges.I suspect that there is something in Western culture that has gone
far wide of normal biologicaly (ie hormonal) controlled behavior and caused
serious emotional damage which has resulted in mass insanity,and a cultural
neuroses that threatens to destroy us all. As Children we play together ,we
touch,we explore each others bodys,we are unashamed.At puberty we begin to
give in to social pressure to stop this kind of activity and begin acting
like adults....and adults dont do that ....at least not with members of
their own sex...Boys learn to become aggresive sexual animals,they quickly
learnthat to be the object of another mans sexual desire is to be weak, and
dominated, like a woman.(I don't know what happens to girls I wasn't paying
attention to them).So we grow up to be men who are walled in by this social
bull crap ,we armour ourselves and seperate ourselves, and the only authorised
contact we have with each other usually revolves around some kind of sporting
activity that is culturally acceptable.The traditional Mans man, the sporting
man has built a niche in which he can have his buddys and his physical contact
he can share the comraderie that men are capable of without contradicting the
moral precepts of western society, all he has to do is make sure that his
contact does not become sexual (at least not in public ..eh guys) .So they
get a wife , and hang out with the boys, whether its the corner bar, the posh
club ,or the Military they're all the same. I am constantly amazed at the
puportedly straight men who get around to admitting to me that they like to
get sexual with other men and are turned on by men too!! they 're not fags
mind you just open minded...right...When I was in school they were still
teaching us that homosexuality did not exist in the animal kingdom outside
of human beings ,thereby asserting that homosexual behavior was some kind
of abberation peculiar to the human spirit.But now I find that some scientists
have taken a look at the animal kingdom to verify these claims and they are
just simply not true!!same sex play and sexual activity occurs regularly
and commonly throughout the animal kingdom.!!! The lie that was previously
taught as truth never had any real facts to back it up, it was taught because
the forces of moral decency said it was true..So how many other facts about
homosexuality and other "perversions" and immoral acts are based on the same
twisted logic??I wondrer about the currently accepted 10% figure that is often
thrown around for the percentage of homosexual men??. hell Kinsey repoted that
over 33% of the men he interviewed admitted to some level of homosexual contact
...and that was during the 50's...certainly a period not know for openness
and non conformity....If we could get absolute honesty ,and asked men if they
were occasionally turned on by another man,regardless of whether they would
do anything about it, how many do you think would answer in the positive??/
I'm not sure but I bet it wouldn't be a lousy ten percent!
....
In any case the upshot of my personal feelings on this matter is that I have
come to the conclusion that I am Perfectly Normal, and that normalcy for me
is living in a world wherein everything that occurs is appropriate. and that
it is perfectly normal and appropriate for me to love men,and be sexual with
them.I feel truley fortunate to be in a relationship with another man that
loves me and have found a level of closeness with him that surpasses any I
have ever experienced before.Partnership is something that is a reality in my
life now, and not just a vague goal to strive after.
I hope that ther will be some comment on this posting and I certainly welcome
other opinions on these subljects,pro and con.
