From American Medical News, June 7, 1985: Pentagon officials said the military would not discipline or separate from the service military personnel who donate blood that subsequently tests positive for antibodies to HTLV-3 associated with AIDS. : : The Pentagon siad that the positive test results would be disclosed only to medical personnel. Unlike other medical records, they will not be made available to military superiors.
