I am not sure what did the trick in my case as I tried many battle plans. One thing that seemed to help were bay leaves. Apparently roaches don't like them. I placed bay leaves around pots, pans, in drawers and areas where I store food. Funny thing is you don't want to place insecticide (sp) near things you eat or eat on. But that is where the roaches are likely to wonder looking for food. Bay leaves are a good alternative in this case.
