We had trouble with expire a couple of months ago. The original expire
will not rebuild the history file or expire without a history file except
on 2.9. I got a modified version from Steven Kramer which will both expire
without a history file and build on 4.2. We changed it to work here on v7.
If anyone would like either the 4.2 or v7 version I will mail it to them.
