I received mail today from nsc!voder!slgr!scgvaxd!trwrb!trwrba!ceup!ucsbcsl!chi!limes regarding an earlier posting that got eaten. The exact text of my 'EAGLE' message, before submitting to inews, follows. I include a [] for the nonexistent :-) lineater anyway...could the blank line be a problem? I thought it was only indented ones... Our present arrangement has /usr1 on the Eagle's 'h' partition, with ~208mb space. I'd like to split /usr1 into two file systems, but using 'e' and 'f' gives us ~55mb and ~150mb, an undesirable split. I'd like to repartition 'e' and 'f' to get ~100mb each, leaving the other partitions alone. In the bargain, we of course get back 'd' at ~7mb. Is there any compelling reason why I shouldn't do this, other than the fact that I'll have a locally customized driver? ======================================================================= Opinions expressed above are my own; nobody else is foolish enough. The only thing I can see in common is that the path is the same from nsc thru trwrb. BUT I've submitted other news articles (we've been on the net for ~1 mo.) and have had no trouble. BTW: I'm sysadmin/newsadmin here, so better it should happen to me... ============================================================================== Opinions expressed have been generated solely by line-noise.
