[net.news.adm] rn: newsetup falls over with new groups

I tried running rn (with patches 1-31 applied) on a login directory with no
.newsrc.  This is what I got:

Creating .newsrc in /usr/lib/news to be used by news programs.
Too many files in w commands
/tmp/n.misc17556: No such file or directory
Done.
