One feature of the Distribution mechanism that is certainly not intuitively obvious, and could get you in trouble, can be illustrated by the following example. What do you think this message does? Subject: New AT&T Gizmo to be demonstrated in HO Aud Wednesday Newgroups: att.general Distribution: nj blah, blah... secret, secret... No, it doesn't send the article to just the AT&T sites in NJ. The article will go to *all* sites in NJ, not just the AT&T ones (or at least the NJ sites that get feeds from machines that subscribe to att.general) where all our valuable secrets will be revealed (you might have to look in the junk directory, but they still get out).
