I agree that humor of the form presented by 'sore ears' is uncalled for in a serious discussion. I would like to express my opinions on the topic of shaving et al. I personally shave every day and I enjoy the feeling of a smooth face without a scragly beard and/or mustache. For the smae reason I enjoy the feeling of smooth silky legs when in contact with a woman. I also disagree with the people who think that women should not wear any makeup. I think that many women can enhance their appearance with properly applied makeup, I think some women do wear too much makeup but that is no reason to protest its use entirely. If the social reaction were not so negative I believe many men could enhance their appearance with makeup also. With today's trend toward total individuality, anything can be acceptable and anything can be attractive to a person with similar viewpoints. These comments are on the level and are one man's opinion. sparrow

I believe that most people who use make-up (other than those who "play" with it and change it around a lot "just for kicks") are doing so because they got their concept of "attractive" from the media (especially TV and magazines), a media which is busy trying to sell ANYTHING that it can TO ANYONE that it can, using social hype or fad manipulation or any technique they can think of to sell sell sell!
