I agree that there is an apparent conflict between men's use of the word and
their actions, which may be offensive to women. However, my understanding
of the word is that it is an insult which is only used against men, and is
therefore an expression of homophobia. I'll keep this short, since I don't
want to be accused of taking over your group.
