Pardon my ignorance, but WHAT ON EARTH IS A SOROR???????
For that matter, what is a "MIAKA"?
Thanks

It's latin. In this context, my guess is that it means 'bimbo.'

Now, just a minute. Attacking a respectable sorority like AKA by
referring to them as 'bimbos' isn't very fair (especially in this
newsgroup). Soror, by the way means sister (as in counterpart to
fraternity brother).

"Respectable" sorority? Are there "respectable" sororities and
"unrespectable" sororities? If that's how you feel, then your attitude
is one more reason why I find it hard to respect any of them.

[Sorry, but six years of life on the edge of Fratland in Austin have
pretty well solidified my disgust with the whole "Greek" scene.]

Judging from other postings of yours, I would say that you belong to
the Organized Leftists Fraternity. I spent eight years on the edge
of this fraternity while in Houston. I found that it has just as
little to recommend itself as the Greek frats.

Now, don't you wish you had put this in net.flame where it belongs?

By "respectable" I was referring to the good deeds that AKA does. They
are primarily a service organization that sets high standards for their
members to live by. They do things such as provide scholarships for
needy students. They are definitely not (at least in the Boston area)
a group known to disgust anyone. (Incidentally, I have no desire to join
any Greek organization whatsoever; I simply was reacting to what I
thought was a uncalled-for remark.)
