I'm sure this topic has been discussed before, but I am a relative newcomer to the USENET and was wondering what opinions any of you had about it. I myself have been raped twice and I know how degrading it is. I'm going to make some- thing clear though. I am not anything like a sex goddess who runs around looking for someone to rape me. I am overweight (approx. 50 lbs.) and was even heavier both times I was raped. No woman wants to be raped. Especially me. I am still haunted by dreams of rape. Sometimes I can hardly bear to let my husband touch me because it brings back too many bad memories. The first time I was raped was in college and the guy is in jail. The second time, it happened in my own home (in a town of less than 1000 people). The police have never caught the guy (it happened in March of 1983 a month after my daughter was born). I feel that in most cases, a rapist doesn't give a darn who he rapes. I'm living proof that one doesn't have to be a raving beauty to be a victim of rape! *** Kristy Gleason ***
