Lynda (among others) mentions that she gets the periodic "bitchy, rotten, and miserable" feeling that drugs don't fix. While I was researching a gynecological problem, I read a lot of books. In a number of those books (including "It's Your Body" by ???), I read that women taking birth control pills or having premenstrual syndrome might want to take a Vitamin B-6 supplement. I also read the part about BC pills in a nutrition book or two, so I decided to give it a try. B-6 is not good in high doses, but I'm taking a 50mg (mg is the unit for the RDA) tablet for a week before and during my period and half of one during the rest of the month. I used to get somewhat depressed right about now (day before period), but I've been feeling much better since I've been taking the B-6. Maybe it will help your yucky feelings. Just don't take a lot of this. From what I had read, I'm taking a reasonable dose. (I'm not a doctor, but I thought I'd pass on the info.) Hugs also help (as Lynda pointed out), but sometimes you don't have someone to hug. :-( Beth Katz {seismo,allegra,rlgvax}!umcp-cs!beth
