Myself I prefer seeing men in casual dress (sports shirt and pants) rather than suit and tie (or other uniforms). Occasionally my husband puts on a suit and tie, and I find myself looking at him as if at a stranger: a nice-looking guy but too formal for me to want to get to know him better. Men also look nice in medieval-type outfits (as at Society for Creative Anachronism events). And those with good figures look nice in bathing suits too. Many men seem uninterested in coordinating their skin color (sallow, ruddy, whatever) with the color of their clothes. Or even in coordinating the colors of their shirt, pants, socks, etc. Such men definitely look better in a neutrally-colored, pre-assembled costume...like a suit. --Lee Gold
