I finally saw and handled a Coco with the new Shack keyboard yesterday. I did not like the feel at all -- very squishy, with no tactile feedback at all to tell whether you had pressed far enough. The old keyboard is much better in this respect--you can feel the "toggle" in the membrane beneath. So while the new keyboard looks nice, its feel may cost RS some sales. I've always maintained that the only real shortcoming of the old Coco keyboard was the lack of certain keys (CTRL, {}|, DEL, ESC), not the physical design. Also another deficiency which only ONE of the aftermarket upgrades fixes (and their model has no function keys)-- the []\ are not labeled on the arrow keys. Every few weeks I have to redraw these on the keys with a viewgraph pen .... mike k
