In comparing OS9 with UN*X, someone told me that OS9 does not support pathnames with .. for parent, ... for granddad, etc. In fact, these are given in the Radio Shack manual under "Anonymous Pathnames". I tried 'em and they work. Wouldn't want to be without them ... mike k
