I thought the latest rumor concerning the Basic09 and the Microware C compiler would be of general interest. The basic is supposed to be $99 The C compiler is supposed to be $150 This is compared to $150 and $400 for the general os-9 versions. Yet if one could (in theory?) transfer files from COCO to os-9 the existing basic and C run fine. Does this mean that those of us who run non COCO machines as well will have cheaper software available soon? Supposedly the difference between the two disk formats is that the disk driver has been patched (on the COCO) to be one track offset from standard os-9 formats. Sidney Thompson
