[net.micro.6809] How to Boot BASIC09

knudsen@ihnss.UUCP (12/25/83)

Just got BASIC09, found that nice manual has no instructions how to
boot the thing up! After much cussing, arrived at the following procedure
for single-disk system:
1) Boot up OS9, using a disk with VERY LITTLE other stuff on it.
2) Type "load copy;load dir"
3) Pull disk, insert new BASIC09 disk (write protect if you like),
type "dir" to see the 4 files on it.
4) Type "copy /d0/basic09 /d0/cmds/basic09 -s #24k"
5) Swap disks back and forth as requested till done.
6) Repeat 4-5 for files GFX and INKEY.
7) You can't fit RUNB on system disk without deleting other stuff,
so just wait till you need it.

Now you can just type "basic09" to run from system disk.
Hope this helps. So far, looks like it's worth the $99. mike k
