A while back, Joe Wood mentioned several vendors of single board 6809 computers. One of them, Artisan Systems Corp. 410 Cross Street Winchester, MA. 01890 (617) 721-2109 ~12x15 4-layer PC board. 68B09E @ 2Mhz. 64K-256K, 8-28pin sockets for EPROM or STATIC RAM. 6-RS232C via 6551A ACIAs w/SW baud rate 110 to 19.2K. 6522A w/2-16 bit timers and 2-8bit parallel ports. 8 auto vectored interrupts. Independent 68B09E for 1-4 5-1/4 or 8 inch floppies DS, SD, DD. SASI interface for Winnie. FLEX available. $895.00 w/64K and 4 Serial ports. FLEX $150.00. OS9 CALL. Forth CALL. looks REAL attractive. Unfortunately, they seem to have left Winchester, and the number given here now belongs to some family. As the poster of the original article on alternate 6809 SBCs, I felt I should go back and recheck the Artisan ad. All three boards were advertised in the October `68' Micro Journal. The October issue was the last one which the Artisan ad appeared in. Don Williams has a reputation for kicking out advertisers when they don't meet their obligations. The only board of the three mentioned in my October article which is still advertsed in the January issue is the one from Digital Research Computers. The COCO clone from Peripheral Technology is gone as well. Joseph L.
