Does anyone know the Radio-Shack part numbers for the new 5v only
disk controller? I am trying to compare the J&M controller to the
new controller and the old one. I've heard from several sources
conflicting opinions of compatibility problems with the J&M controller.
The people that sell them say that they are completely compatible
when running Radio-Shack software but decline to mention compatiblity
with FLEX since this is an alternate vendor supplied piece of software.
I would like to buy the Radio Shack controller and use it with a
couple of Tandon 100-1's that I've already got but the people at the
Shcak computer store here say that you can't get the controller by itself.
I think I can order one directly from Tandy in Ft. Worth if I just knew
the part number. I'm sure that the Shack store could order one for me too
but they want to convice you to buy the drive and cable with it.
I'd appreciate help with part numbers or any info anyone can give me
as to the compatibility of the J&M controller since I know how to get
one of those by itself. I'm running a TDP-100 with the 'E' rev. board
that I have installed 64K chips into so it should be able to use either
the old RS controller or the CoCo II controller(5v only) or the J&M
controller. Does anyone have some suggestions?

If you really want just the Radio Shack controller, check out
the advertisements in one of the coco magazines. I read Rainbow and
there are several ads for the controlle only. Anda better price too.
