CANDELA is a new micro built around the 6809 processor. It is aimed for labs in schools and industry who deal with measuring and data acquisition. I doubt that it will be sold outside of Scandinavia, but I submit the specs to the net as a piece of trivia. Base Configuration ------------------ - 128 kbytes RAM. - Built in 3" floppy, 360 kbytes formatted. - OS-9 Operating System. - BASIC-09 in ROM, enhanced with data acquisition commands. - Assembler in ROM. - High resolution color graphics. (512x256 pixels. 16 colors selected from a palette of 255). - 2 serial ports, RS232C. - 2x8 bit parallell ports. - ADC, 8 channels, 8 or 13 bits, 1 us or 5 ms. - DAC, 2 channels, 8 bits. - RGB and Video outputs. - Full keyboard with numeric pad and pi-key (!?) - 40/64/80 characters per line. Options ------- - Up to 1.1 Mbyte RAM. (With RAM-disk capabilities). - Pascal, Forth, C, and cross assemblers in PROM. - EPROM programming card. - IEEE/IEC bus interface. - External floppy. - CMOS RAM with battery backup. - Flex-09 Operating system.
