(I am, of course, not affiliated with anybody but myself and a few random organizations (none of which are mentioned below) which don't know or care much about what I'm saying here, much less do anything nefarious.) There's a company in New York that apparently sells a VERY good disk controller cartridge for the CoCo--wish I had personal experience with it, but I know only what I saw in *Computer Shopper*. The controller (called the "Ultra Controller") sells for $110 ($115 with an "input buffer," whatever that may be--I would very much like it to be an on-board sector buffer so that one wouldn't have to halt the CoCo for each byte transferred...), avoids the adjustment bogosity of the Radio Shack controller, comes with gold contacts, will run on CoCos I or II (any board flavor), will work with 8" drives as well as 5" drives (concurrently? dunno--it didn't say), will do multiple sector read/write, and has a year warranty.
