To the coordinators of the net, is there a policy on liablity on the net ? Is usenet a public or private forum ? I realise that just about anyone may join (and does), but does that make it public ? Is a discalaimer required when speaking in a private forum ? I realise that proper referances should be given to avoid accusations of plagarism, but can someone take serious legal recourse on what was said in a private or semi-privare place ? Must we constantly dance around saying UN*X just to avoid the footnote to the authors ? Maybe we should mention K&R every time we talk about 'C' ?
