UPDATE #1; OS9 Usenetters Poll Response 3/28/85
Having received a few more responses, here's an update to the usenetters
who use or are keenly interested in the OS9 operating system. The poll
response is about 33K bytes of text and is in a separate posting.
GEE, This is taking a lot of time to data-reduce!
Glad I'm not doing the IRS' tax return in-processing!
- Please send poll responses to the undersigned via UUCP or USMAIL.
- If you send a S.A.S.E., I'll mail hardcopy of responses.
- Many Unix'ers are not getting the word because net.micro.6809 is
not well gateway'ed as is net.micro. The net.micro people don't like
postings re net.micro.6809 in "THEIR" subgroup! What to do?
PERSONAL CURIOSITY:
How 'come no one is posting public domain OS9 programs in their binary
forms using the binary-to-hex utility? This is the great thing about
OS9 -- the binaries for OS9 programs (6809) will run on any other,
excluding programs which are screen-dependent or which use level II
features. I've seen very few C or BASIC09 either! What gives?
Is Smoke Signal on here? Gimix? Others? I'll keep index if you answer.
