Comments: I run both OS9 and FLEX on my system; however I am about to
abandon it for a PC/AT. Generally, I am pretty disgusted by
the lack of good, fast compilers for the 09, and although I
infinitely prefer the 09 to the garbage that Intel sells,
I am sick of not having any decent support.
Performance is also VERY important to me. I suspect that if
I ever hear anything GOOD about OS-9 Level 3 that I might
try out a 68000 system.

I have recently purchased the Tandy "deluxe rs232 ...", the uart that
plugs into the multi-pak. I have also updated the os9 system
to the latest revision. However, I have had little success using the
ACIA driver, etc. I am about ready to buy a disassembler to see what
they have done (I haven't really tried too hard).
What I really would like is a package that emulates
a terminal, supports file transfer (Kermit, Xmodem, whatever).
If you know if any have come out as yet, I would like to know about it.
I have been thinking of joining, but have not seen the address recentley
in the Rainbow magazine.

About a dozen people here at the lab run OS-9 on CoCos. We have
several hardware and software projects underway.
I use double-sided double-density 96 track-per-inch drives on my CoCo.
They are usually $40 more than single-sided 40-track drives
now, and they provide four times the storage.
OS-9 is the first HOME computer operating system I can feel comfortable
with. All the others are dinosaurs!
