This system is not in perfect operating condition. It will take a small
amount of work to get it up to snuff. The primary problems seem to be
a problem with the disk controller (if you leave it on for a couple of
hours it comes alive...probably a marginal chip), and a couple of bad bits
in memory.

SWTPC stands for Southwest Technical Products Corporation and they are
still in business.

If you have an interest in device control or operating system design this
could be the ideal hacking system you are looking for. It is amazingly simple
to play with as far as getting at the hardware (though you'll probably have
to dig up documentation on the disk controller).

While not as good a deal as Mike's I have contact with someone
who wants to sell a 10 meg. hard disk based Exorset system with 48K
RAM. No set price, but I think he'd dump it for $1,000.00 with
development software included. If you're in the Toronto-Mississauga
region drop me a 'mail' note and I'll have him get in touch with
you.

                                   Cheers! -- Jim O.
