Thanks to everyone who suggested remedies to my
problem - that of running out of memory when
trying to run a program a little over half the
size of available memory.  It turns out that
the program will load and execute fine if it
is in the current execution directory, but
won't if I try to run it from another directory:
"chx /d1/cmds ; progname" vs. "/d1/cmds/progname".
Just thought you guys would like to know.
