Don't forget the Pekin Chinks (Pekin, Ill.) Actually, there was
a big flap about that team name a year or so ago when some
namby-pamby, limp-wristed, bleeding-heart liberals suggested that
the name was racist or something. Got national press. They're
still the Pekin Chinks. "Don't say 'Chinks'. 'Chinks' is bigotted."
What the hell spy-spoof movie did that line come from?

Isn't an aggie a kind of marble?

Ok, I submit for your approval my alma mater, The Florida Atlantic
University Burrowing Owls. These really do exist, Ive SEEN them. Well, one
anyway. Use to have some escaped lab monkeys around campus too, but they
couldnt make it in the real world.

The University of Idaho Vandals - nice mindlessly destructive touch, I
		always thought.

Two of the teams from the league my highschool played in:

Corry Beavers - makes one wonder when that particular bit of slang
entered the language. I assume the school name predated
it. I don't know wether to believe "Breakfast of Champions"
		on the etymology or not.

Cranberry Berries

By the way, didn't some school in the midwest have a vote among the
students for the team name, and the vote turned out:

"The Screaming Thunderchickens"
