O'Brien (ihnp4!ihlpa!dob) Three right turns -- hah! One fine day, I was the designated madman at the wheel, taking a couple of friends with me (we were all going to the same place). Coming up to a freeway interchange (CA 17 and US 101, southbound on 17, for those of you who know where that is), I succumbed to the mistaken belief that the way to get where we were going was to exit to the other highway via the inside loop of the cloverleaf (southbound 101). One of my comrades pointed out to me that this was wrong, and I should have continued down the freeway I was originally traveling on; he suggested that I go down to the next exit and return. Taking a quick look around, I observed that all the inside loops were in fact present, said "Nuts!" or words to that effect to the aforementioned buddy, shot the other three ramps, and in hardly any time at all was once again moving on the proper road in the proper direction, having completed the infamous Quadruple Cloverleaf Maneuver.
