Thu May 3 18:50:17 PDT 1984 Over 6 months ago, I requested that my IRA with MERRILL LYNCH be "rolled over" to a mutual fund handled by another company. ALL of the appropriate paperwork was sent to transfer the Merrill Lynch GNMA IRA to shares in UNITED SERVICES Gold Fund. After repeated tries both by me and United Services to accomplish this "simple" rollover, MERRILL LYNCH cannot find the money in my account. I have proof of the amount as I have the account slips from ML and have sent them copies...but no results. It appears that it may be necessary to take legal action. Is this problem unique or are there others on the NET who have had serious problems with MERRILL LYNCH? Please respond by mail. With enough response we may consider a class action against Merrill Lynch. Barbara A. Jensen {hplabs|fortune|ios|tolerant|allegra|tymix}!oliven!danw

[[ Get all of your paperwork together and march right down to the SEC. Call Merrill Lynch before you go and see if they will take action. If not, get the SEC involved. This seems to perk up their ears from time to time.
