[net.legal] Drivers licenses, and a number.

With all of the discussion of a national drivers license I was thinking
that since we already have a national number assigned to everyone we should
use that number. If you don't have the number then you cannot drive. Then
every time you get a ticket the amount of the fine could be deducted from
your benefits and if you get into enough accidents or enough tickets then
the benefits could be revoked. Better yet it you injure someone they get
your benefits.

Along that line why don't we use that number for all identification and
then we would only have to have one card that would be our national drivers
license, credit/debit card, social security card, employee identification
card etc., the list could go on. To take it one step further we could get
rid of the card and implant a chip into your hand or, for those who don't
have a hand, into the forehead. This way you could never get robbed. This
chip could have a transmitter on it, like they put into animals, so you can
always be located, that way you would never get lost and it could also be
used to track down criminals and others that are enemies of the state. If
you go into a store and your on the wanted list they would refuse to sell
the food, gun etc. to you, that way we could force everyone to conform to
the ways of the majority.

If that sounds like a good idea to you, then all you have to do is wait for
a couple more years and it will be hear.
