When they changed the speed limit, it was said that it would save lives and gas. Is this true? It would seem that the probability between a higher speed and the duration of being on the highway would be in conflict concerning a wreck. Perhaps you've seen no gas savings between 55 and 70 on your '67 Mustang. But there must be more 1.8cc 4-cyl engines on the highway than that 289 you're probably running. These little engines will save gas and last longer at 55.
