No political group ever obtained power by terrorizing and murdering only guilty victims. Why do governments establish safe havens for political leaders in the event of nuclear war, but not for people who grow food or know how to organize people to really work or who build machines or anything useful? Why do governments act more severely against assassins than against murderers of ordinary victims? I also think the IRA are a bunch of worthless murderers (bombing Harrods et. al.), but why single them out? They have lots and lots of company, including the ruling parties of North American countries. -- Norman Diamond UUCP: {decvax|utzoo|ihnp4|allegra|clyde}!watmath!watdaisy!ndiamond CSNET: ndiamond%watdaisy@waterloo.csnet ARPA: ndiamond%watdaisy%waterloo.csnet@csnet-relay.arpa "Opinions are those of the keyboard, and do not reflect on me or higher-ups."
