(Actually, in Canada we never call our pop or soft drinks "soda", unless of course it is (club) soda (water) (pick one)) My assertion: most diners are indifferent to the brand of pop they get. Usually they just want a cola, or a white pop, etc. If I ran a restaurant, I would find it convenient to buy all my pop from one bottler/distributor. Therefore, you see Coke and Sprite together, rather than Coke and 7-Up. Some restaurants offer a wider selection because they think that the extra trouble is worth it. If you don't like the selection, mention that to your waiter/waitress and ask that they mention it to the manager. John
