hi, i just went for a drive on the grand central parkway here in new york. as usual, there was some asshole trying to make a studid move: he stopped in the left lane (no one in front of him) and tried to move into the right lane. i was the unfortunate one to be passing by as the head of his car pulled into the lane. i managed to avoid collision by driving onto the raised brick shoulder (very close). well, in a fit of rage, i chased him down the grand central trying to let his move was not appreciated and that he should consider public transportation (not in exactly those words however). he informed me that he was a cop (while the women sitting next to him gave me the finger...i began to see red!!!). i said something about the irrelevance of his profession (again not in exactly those words). now that i have calmed down, i wonder what i should do about the incident. should i just forget about it or should i report his ass (i got his license plate number). i realize that he probably was not a cop (everyone in new york says they are cops whenever theres an accident or traffic jam, etc). but if he is a cop, then i really want to get him because he shouldn't be "waving his badge" after he almost caused an accident. if he isn't a cop, then maybe he'll stop the bullshit. what does this informed group think? danny chen ihnp4!hou2b!dwc

You can report it, but it probably won't do you any good. I asked a cop how I could report jerks on the road, and he said that it wouldn't do any good, because it would just be my word against the jerk's. Sigh!
