A scene from urban life... A man was shot dead in the Celtic bar in Charlestown, one of Boston's tougher neighborhoods, on Monday. His sister called the emergency room and asked if he was there. They asked if he had any distinguishing marks, and Sis said "He got kicked in the face in a fight Friday night and he had two bullet holes in his shin from where he got shot a couple months ago." And the hospital staffer said "Come right over." The late Bobby Barrett's mother had this to say: "Friday night he got in a fight with `Butsy' Carr and Jimmy Devlin down the Celtic. He called me and told me. He told me he bit Devlin's ear off. I gotta think the fight had something to do with it." The Celtic was pretty crowded that night, but it seems that "Nobody saw nutt'n." Perhaps Bobby wasn't all that popular anyway?
