[net.music] Dead on AOR

Now that you mention it, it has been quite a while since I've heard the Dead
on AOR (although I should admit I don't usually go out of my way to listen to
AOR stations anymore). But I do remember when they were played a lot on AOR.
That was in the early to middle Seventies. But those stations have become FM
top 40.
"On the Golden Road to Unlimited Devotion" was a hit in 1967
"Cream Puff War", "Cold Rain and Snow" were on singles.
"Truckin" and "Alabama Getaway" and "US Blues" were hit singles.
but does anyone have any idea how far any of them went on national charts?

                          cosmic ray PS
let's campaign to the local radio to play the full length version of Dark Star
without commercial interruption.

I think there was a tune called "Shakedown Street" by the Dead that was out
in early '79. It peaked at #93 on the Billboard charts, I believe.
