[net.legal] apologies

ASPDMM%UOFT01.BITNET@wiscvm.wisc.edu (Bud) (02/22/86)

To those who have expressed interest in a writing collaboration, I
would like to apologize for not getting back to you until now, but
I have found myself swamped with work. Funny thing about Civil
Service, the the less you are paid the more they want from you.

Anyway, when I sent that letter out, it was well in advance of the
closing date for the current issue of the J. of L and T. But since
then we have had a long lull in this BB due to a change in mgt and
there is no longer time to make the deadline.

That does not mean that I am not still interested, but we probably
will not get published for a while. So, to Larry Lippman and the
anonymous other, I express my continued interest in the effort.

AND...

To Jordan Breslow, I have this to say...

Simply announcing an intention in pompous and bombastic language
does not fulfill that intention. In the first place, you may be
surprised that you are not the only person in computerland who
has studied law. We are all deeply grateful for the gospel
according to Breslow, but frankly, I don't recall what mis-infor-
mation you were referring to when you felt so strongly compelled
to condescend to render an opinion. At any rate, your article
would have been much better received without the wrist slapping.
